I suggest that before anyone wades in with unnecessary and unhelpful threats, it might be advisable to discuss this privately? Also, you each might wish to clarify your position (if the name is to stick) with regards to where you stand, with your rights. It's a common mistake to make, but using a stage name doesn't make it 'yours'. Copyright law is a little more involved than this.

After a great deal of gossip & chinese whispers on Facebook about a month ago, this has now been dealt with privately by the people directly involved.

As far as I know, Scarlet (Pallister) Fever isn't carrying out any legal action. Scarlet (Cardiff) Fever did not perform at Christmas & hasn't performed for just over 6 months. She is not actively looking for burlesque work & promoting herself with the name. I don't know if she will perform in future.

If anyone has any queries about this matter, please contact the two people directly and please don't start discussing it all over again on here.

I'm sorry to read there was unpleasantness - yet another 'storm in a D cup' as a wise lady once quipped (credit to Immodesty for the pun).

...and I've just now come across on my e-travels (still creating a database of all burlesque performers) - another Scarlett Fever in the USA! She spells it with an extra 't' and is part of the SugarQ burlesque troupe .

I'm glad for everyone that this has been resolved, and that such a boon of trully excellent names has been created! May I also suggest Miss Lou Keemia, to be put forward to this bragade of strudy and robust performers I am hoping to see out there soon!

How about one of the Scarletts ( maybe we should organise a poll to decide which one as there are now 4 that we know of but more will no doubt emerge ) rename herself Rumer Tism and her partner Gerry Hattrick..?
