What a lovely two-piece InaGlo. You look lovely in it too.

Did all you folks make/have made your attire or are any of you collectors etc?

Woweeeeeeeee! That is amazing Inaglo. You two really are talented photographers and I am so pleased with this image - thank you! Felt honoured that you 2 could join us for the afternoon on the Sunday - it was great fun.

Can't wait to see the set

Thanks Kittie - my outfit is by a very clever seamstress of 'Asphodel Couture' - based on a French late 1800s pattern.

Hi Kittie , my outfit was actually a 1970s wedding dress in the Victoriana style i bought off ebay, very authentic looking tho esp with the corset and bustle/petticoat combo underneath!

I am defo gonna be going to Ilfracombe for my birthday, the final ends with a spectacular concert and firework display

My outfit was a pink silk wedding dress with layers of net petticoats underneath that I had in my loft from my days of selling wedding gowns and the jacket was from a car boot sale on Sunday. The 2 just seemed to go together. Loved the dressing up, next year gonna enter the parade as well. :-) xx

Thanks Tony - I especially appreciated the Bobby on the Shop-Mobility cart.

Am I dashed in my hopes for footage of the performances?

I'm particularly interested in Scarlet's Classic Victorian fandance - I haven't come across this before. Can you elucidate?

Kittie - I think you might need to read the rest of this thread for answers to all those questions of yours...

Inaglo - Looked at the vid ! The parade was so much fun!! I understand from the local papers that the crowd that had poured into town to see the parade numbered 275,000 over the 2 days. The organisers are clearly doing it for their fascination for all things Victorian. I spoke to a couple of the main co-ordinators on Sunday and their knowledge of Victorian social history and Victorian fashions was really impressive. Something else that struck me was the wonderful inclusive atmosphere where everyone was made to feel very welcome and involved!! Just spotted Jacob and I hee hee

Heard from Scarlet last night that I ended up on the front page of the Wales Weekly in that dress!! So chuffed!

    Found this:

Hi Candee - you are quite right. On a second reading, I can see that SuperSexySusie had indeed said that the burlesque show was off.

I had inferred (for some reason) that Scarlet's performance was separate form the burlesque show though. I'm not sure why I got this impression.

Please forgive my oversight - I get a bit excited about Victoriana.

I had only two questions -
    1) What is a Classic Victorian Fan Dance?
    2) Can I see footage?

I take it that there is no footage of Scarlet's Classic Victorian Fan Dance being performed elsewhere?

For those interested, you might like this as something to incorporate in to fan work maybe?
