This sounds like a great event!

Can I ask Scarlet though - what is a classic Victorian Fan Dance ? Is this a take on the 'language' of fans as used in Society for court flirting?

Do you have a video of this? I do love anything Victoriana

I did dress up in Victorian attire, acres of petticoats are not very practical for driving but felt like a million dollars. I will try and upload pics later. x

Lovely pictures and fabulous costumes. Just glad I don't have to wear outfits like that every day as they did in Victorian times!!!

Oh I love your outfit Angel. That must have been so much fun to wear. I've got an Edwardian dress but as the skirt is so much narrower than the full skirt on the mid-Victorian era it's not half as much fun.

Was it difficult not sinking into the sand too?

I'm deffo going to try and go next year if they run it again.....mind you I want to get back to Whitby again too

Didn't have much problem with sinking into the sand, lot's of standing on tiptoe :-) it was getting heels stuck between the boards on the slipway into the sea that was the major nightmare :-)
outfit was lovely to wear, didn't wear a corset though, bit too restrictive. Love the full dresses, very feminine and elegant.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Tony and Scarlet for organising this weekend away. It was great, great fun! Lovely to see Jay and Lisa, Susie and Martin, Brian and Gloria (Inaglo), Briar 84 there. Really nice to meet Angel T'Lite there too! Will definitely be back next year to help fly the burlesque flag. Can't wait to see the photos folks!! Shall put a few of my own up this week. Havent got any of me in my dress as yet (I know Inaglo took some good uns of all of us) but this is me in it at Whitby for Tempest:

    Thumbs up

Pipped to the 'post' as always, excuse the pun ha!
I second everything Candee said, was FABulous it was an 8 hr pose-a-thon yesterday and i loved every minute of it, especially being part of the Grand Parade through the town and the carousel ride Unfort i am going to be in New Zealand this time next year but i will be their in spirit!

I wore a vintage cream lace dress (original 1970s wedding dress does Victoriana) complete with bustle pad and steel boned corset petticoat and black boots, it was actually very comfortable and i was wearing this ensemble for 10 hrs!!!!!!! I am in the background of the 1st piccie that Angel posted!

Shame there was no Burlesque show on the sunday night but i am sure Scarlet & co will more than make up for it next year!
Regardless of that i had an amazing time catching up with old friends and making new ones

I would thoroughly recommend it and next year will am sure be bigger and better than ever before with Scarlet, Candee & co performing
Am sure your photos will look amazing Candee (Lisa) i cannot wait to see them! You looked amazing in your red 'Mina Harker' dress!
