Hi Everyone.
I've just moved to South Wales from Manchester and in need of a burlesque fix! Anyone know any clubs, acts, shops etc that I could frequent?!
Any suggestions greatly appreciated, my life suddenly got very beige!

I'm from sunny south wales. theres always burlesque shows taking place dont worry!

I dance with What the Butler Saw - Cardiff's premier burlesque night - who put on monthly shows.
this summer has been crazy busy in cardiff - shows every fortnight it seems! next one this sunday, buffalo bar, windsor place cardiff. its circus themed with all kinds of weird and wonderful acts! (its not hosted by Butler, but involves Butler girls)

Now I just have to persuade my fella to come along. I don't anyone else down here, yet.
Does anyone know any good vintage / faux vintage / alternative shops down here? The internet is great but sometimes you just need to amongst pretty thing!

Well if you come, pop over and say hello!
Shops - On the main street - Queens - there's blue banana - for coperate 'alternative-ness'.
As for vintage shops, there's HoBos, sometimes you find nice one off pieces in there! That's in High Street Arcade - at the end of Queen St opposite the castle end - look to your left and see burger king - arcade just down the side.
In the arcade off St Marys Street by a bus shelter.. I think its called Castle Arcade - anyways it has the joke shop in it and around the corner is a vinatge shop with burlesque gear downstairs!

Intoxicated is another night that goes on in cardiff bi monthly
The next show is on the 26th October, at 10 feet tall

its the halloween special so excuse to dress up

theres also another night in cardiff run by cardiff burlsque? And Kitty deville and Bunty do occasional charity events

As for burlesque clothing the vintage place lucy mention is delightful i think its call lipstick and powder?
Alternatively I run a corsetry business in south wales and make bespoke clothing and burlesque accessories, if you can't find what your looking for pm and I can custom make

This coming Sunday, the delightful Beatrix is coming to Cardiff woop woop!

I will be in Newport on Thursday at The Devils Boudoir a brand new night the organizer sounds lovely really looking forward to it. Maybe see some of you lovely ladies there.
