Eeekk! 24 hours to go! Busy-busy in the DD household; surrounded by piles of costumes, shoes, glitter & gloves as I try to get everything packed for tomorrow night! My to-do list appears to be getting longer instead of shorter for some reason...?!
Can't wait for tomorrow night, it's gonna be a f**king belter of a show!

Look, I want both you and Kari to know that, to save you the trouble of feeling like you're not supporting the wonderful bar staff at the Classic Grand by not buying drinks... I volunteer myself as the recipient of all the drinks you would have normally drank. I know it's selfless, but I'm doing it for you, for burlesque , and for the greater good... xx

Rockaburley!'s Rockaburley VIII Bad Girls of Burlesque Photo Album - MySpace Photos

The first batch of photos are up from Rockaburley VIII: Bad Girls of Burlesque !!! We're expecting more in but I had to share this first bunch (click the link above) - they're just too fabulous for words. And speaking of fabulous Daiquiri and I have to send our thanks to a few people. Rockaburley VIII went wonderfully and a good deal of that goes to Cherry Loco who took over stage management duties at the last minute and did such an amazing job that I am finally forced to admit he's not just a pretty face. Also a woman so imbued with the maternal spirit that she radiated a healthy (greenish) glow all night - thank you Vendetta Vain for giving us a sneak peek at what's sure to be a highly sought after new act. Dolly Tartan gave a tart and teasing ambient show, Creme de la Cremation and Malady de Winter brought that touch of Aberdeen class , our chanteuse and compere Lucille Burn slipped us a small swig of her gin, and the insanely sexy Leyla Rose provided everything else! Truly brilliant performances from everyone and all egged on by an audience so up for it that I wish I could cart them with me to every show I do from now on.
So from myself, Daiquiri Dusk , and Miss Hell's Belle thank you to everyone that came, cheered, and let the bad girl out for one night. We'll see y'all in 2010 for another dose of Rockaburley!
