Hi Kittie
The fabulous Dr Sketchy Glasgow are having an anti-valentines themed Sketchy on the 22nd in the Arches, where The Duskettes will be taking to the Sketchy stage for fun and frolics!
Also, Club Noir have a show on Valentines day I believe.
January tends to be quiet, but there has been a lot of talk of shows in feb, so I'm sure some more things will crop up!

Think I will be off to Club Noir on the 14th...its where my love of burlesque started but sadly I dont think Noir is half as good now as it was when I started going 3 or so years ago

xx
ps kittie , where do you shop in Glasgow?? Although I live in London I go home alot but never seem to find anything I like and end up traipsing around London for hours on end looking for the little hidden away shops..!

if no where else is doing anything i'll go to club noir. i very rarely buy clothes out of shops now lol i seem to do everything online now! but when i do pop up to glasgow i'll look in osiris, cult and hellfire as well as the usual places like topshop etc. i would go to the west end to see if there are any little vintage shops but i'd prob get lost lol!

In the west end you have...
Betsy La Belle (Byres Road)
Fabulous lingerine / vintage store which stocks What Katie Did as well as tons of other stuff; jewellery, stockings, vintage bits and bobs, plus tassels, hats, fascinators and more!
Watermelon (Great Western Road)
Vintage clothing, choc full of goodies!
Retro (Otago Street)
Small but some nice things. Also, don't miss the basement; it's hidden away but you can go down and there's tons more stuff down there.
Starry Starry Night (off Byres Road)
Vintage glory hole - tons of stuff, but you have to dig through!
There are probably more but those are just off the top of my head...

There's also Handbags & Gladrags on Dumbarton road (round the corner from Betsy LaBelle) - it's MENTAL with platform shoes and sequin dresses hanging from every inch of the ceiling. (All marked not for sale sadly!)
I've never actually found anything for buying in there... maybe I'm too distracted by the sequin boob tubes....but it's worth a visit just for the full on assault on your visual sense.
