Rockaburley New Year's Ball! Get your tickets now!
I thought it was time I gave this it's own thread, so here goes...

Celebrate the New Year with a sizzling burlesque extravaganza!
Ward off those winter blues this Hogmanay and celebrate the new year in sizzling style, with a red-hot burlesque extravaganza in Glasgow!
Tired of over-priced New Year’s Eve clubs offering nothing new, and reluctant to spend another freezing night at outdoor celebrations, Rockaburley’s creators, Scottish burlesque stars Daiquiri Dusk and Cat Aclysmic have decided to throw their own new year’s bash, mixing a burlesque vibe with toe-tapping rockabilly for Glasgow’s most exciting and unusual way to bring in the bells in 2009!
Rockaburley is hosted in the city’s well-known Barfly venue and first brought it‘s own brand of rock n‘ roll burlesque to the masses earlier in 2008. This Hogmanay, the Rockaburley Girlies want to offer something a little different for party-goers, with celebrations continuing into the wee small hours and featuring some of Scotland’s top burlesque talent, with acts that include balloon-popping, tassel-twirling and strip -teasing, as well as live rockabilly music from The Coy Dogs and a post-show club night with music by DJ Aaron, of Glasgow’s only rockabilly night, All Tore Up.
The spectacular line-up includes…
*local burlesque beauties Vendetta Vain & Miss Hells Belle
*Rising Edinburgh-based star Gilda Lily, who interestingly, has trained with Roma Gypsies in Latvia!
*Special guest Miss Golden De Licious, all the way from England!
As well as the Rockaburley Girlies themselves:
*Cat Aclysmic, a trained fire performer and burlesque teaser, who originally hails from the Bible Belt in deepest Alabama.
*Daiquiri Dusk - an award-winning burlesque artiste and the only highland-dancing burlesque act in Scotland!
So why not step in out of the cold and celebrate this new year in red-hot style, with a burlesque show that’s guaranteed to keep away those winter chills and keep you dancing until the early hours of the morning!

As you know, I'll be over in Edinburgh for Vegas but I really hope this goes down a storm. I should think it will because it sounds great. Already passed details onto a handfull of friends, but guess what? - they've all got NY parties arranged already too.

As officially the gobbiest girl in burlesque (seriously, unless you've mastered circular breathing don't even try!) I can fully endorse that the west is the place to be this NYE! After much thinking, while I love Vegas this Hogmanay for me is about close friends and family, and after three weeks of LA mansions, San Fran sunsets and California castles last year Daiquiri Dusk is the only performer I could ask to spend the opening of 2009 with. Think Petit Chou Chou and Dusky Champaigne will also be showing their sexy faces in Glasgow - and that's before you add the glorious expolosion of Cat Aclsymic. chat with Frodo and Lucille Burn and the fact I haven't had a drink at new year since 2003!!!!!

Can't wait to see you Red! I luv ya girlie!
Tickets have been selling fast folks, but you can still get them, don't delay!
We have also had some rather fabby press coverage over the last few days, making it onto the Daily Record's 'Clubber's Guide' for New Year, which you can view here:
Clubber's Guide To A Red-Hot Night - The Daily Record
And to top it off, a suitably impressive half-page feature in The Evening Times today, see article below!

With just over 24 hours to go, I am frantically sewing, gluing and finishing stuff off, but I can't wait for tomorrow! Bring on the bells (and belles!)
Daiquiri xx
