Default Classic Grand Masquerade Ball - Sat 21 Dec

    Hey everyone,

Just wondered if anyone was planning on going to this at the Classic Grande in Glasgow? I quite fancy it, and since I would be attending alone thought I'd throw the suggestion out to people in case anyone fancied it aswell

    xx

Sounds great but I am performing in Belfast on the 20th and staying over for a couple of days to see my mum. Hope you have a great time.

    OOOPS...

    I am a grade A idiot.

It's Sunday 21st December - that's what I get for mis-reading the email...I'm glad someone noticed otherwise I'd have rocked up on Saturday to a completely different crowd...lol

Had a quick look at this one on what I think is the Classic Grand website and it mentions "live acts" as well as DJs - has anyone heard what's happening? Sounds like a fun night as long as it's not all "happy hardcore" & chart music.

Funnily enough, I'm certain that Suzuki Sparks feels exactly the same way...... And I'm still trying to figure out news of the "acts"

Ok, I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but a couple of posts from the Altnation Club moderators about this would suggest that Daiquiri Dusk and Cat Aclysmic are performing and there will be a mini casino thing going on as well

Please, if I'm wrong someone tell me but it is certainly what that forum has advertised. I really fancy it but then any excuse to get dressed up...lol

The music is also being described as 'ambient' although that could mean anything...lol

From it's emergence in the fifteenth century, the Masquerade ball has something magical to it, an air of mystique and eroticism. The Classic Grand Masquerade Ball will continue in this tradition and will not disappoint, with live Burlesque and fire eating performances and entertainment in the form of black jack and Roulette. Music will come from DJ Casanova , playing a mix of vintage , retro and modern sounds.

Get in the spirit of the Masquerade and dress to impress with masks and costumes, with the best dressed couple winning a trip to Venice to attend the world renowned Carnevale in San Marco Square.

The Classic Grand is the perfect location for the Masquerade Ball, set in a beautiful 1920's Art Deco building rich in history. Our Ballroom provides an ornate and sophisticated surrounding for the evenings events that will be sure to keep you entertained into the small hours.

Join us on the journey and enjoy!
So there we go.. still sounding interesting!
