Thread: Help Wanted with Burlesque Charity Gig!

Hi All,

Some of you might have seen my post on the midlands jobs forum (theres a bit more detailed info on there) . Basically im planning a burlesque and cocktail night in Nottingham in aid of Parkinsons Disease Society and in honour of my late grandad who suffered from Parkinsons for much of his later life. The proposed date is April 12th 08. Im looking for any performers who might be able to help me out and any burlesque related businesses who might donate to our charity raffle and auction in exchange for publicity on our posters & tickets.

I would love to help out. However, as I'm up in Glasgow I was wondering is there some kind soul out there who might be able to provide me with a place to rest my head if I came down?

I'd could put you up aswell if you dont mind sharing an airbed with the ever so lovely Millie Dollar as i think she's probably staying with me that night....Corset Panther and myself will be coming to Dadalesque on sunday so fingers crossed we can have a chat with you both and arrange some travel and beds for you both!

Little Red Fairy thank you too! we can find any travelling performers a bed somewhere, we have a few friends with big sofas and spare rooms!

I'll have my two kittens by then! so its old dog versus cute kittens im afraid Laura lol! hehe, though i really really miss my old dog, nothing beats an old smelly mutt.

Fleur - yes i'm probably going to do most of the compering myself purely because i know most of the acts quite well and the sponsors quite well so i want to be able to say quite a bit about each one and also do a little speech about the charity and i think that'd be better coming from the organiser than someone unconnected with the charity. I'll see whether or not i get nervy about it lol! Oh we're going to do an auction too! Thats new news!

ooh i meant to say could you both email me your email addresses? That way i can email everyone when the dates etc are fully confirmed and start making proper arrangements
