Dr. Sketchy's is the little New York event that became a movement. Founded in 2005 by artist Molly Crabapple , Dr. Sketchy's asked a simple question; why can't life-drawing classes be sexy?

Instead of static models being drawn by artists sitting in silence in a cold art class , Dr Sketchy is what happens when Cabaret meets Art School. Models are burlesque stars, contortionists, fire-jugglers, tattooed beefcakes and sideshow freaks.

Following an explosive Edinburgh Fringe run Dr Sketchy’s Anti-Art School resumes its regular programming across Scotland & your Glasgow hosts; local theatre company, Rhymes with Purple Productions, look forward to bringing the kind of five star antics you have come to expect from the burlesque art salon that has become a global phenomenon.

With such distinguished guests dropping into our Fringe sessions as the King of Trash himself John Waters and Amanda Palmer of The Dresden Dolls Dr Sketchy’s Anti-Art School has solidified itself as one of the most interesting and innovative events of its kind.

Rhymes with Purple Productions are settling into their monthly residency at The Arches with style!
Expect live swing singing, stalls selling official Dr Sketchy Merchandise & Twisted Starz Burlesque Accessories, a well-stocked bar and some of the most beautiful & talented models Scotland has to offer. Plus – some very special guests!
