Indeed 'tis true. Angel and I decided to give December a miss; we figured The Candy Box and/or The Cherry Pop Peep Show would be running shows for Christmas. We also want to have money for Christmas that isn't tied up in a show when we want to spend it on pressies.
We won't be doing a show in January either, I remember James informing me that January is a dead month as everyone is broke. Our 6th show will be the first Saturday of February 2009.
And Al, although I feel sad that you won't be at our show I am happy that you are a busy working musician, keep flying the flag for live entertainment.

BREAKING NEWS!!! STOP THE PRESS!!!!
The Silk Stocking Striptease Show will now return in the New Year in JANUARY. The 24th January to be exact. Once again we have one hell of a line up, but we wil be keeping that underwraps until a bit nearer to the time.
Anyway back to November - Don't worry Gehenna if I do decide to let Heather Sweet remove my jumper I'll get her to do it live on stage...:eyebrows:

'Tis true, our venue has been thrown a lifeline in the form of a massive Battle of the Bands promotion, using both the ground floor and the 1st floor of the venue and packing out both parts. The effect of this promotion brings the venue, a pub, stability and financial support for several months, importnat for them when so many pubs are going out of business every week.
The downside is that Battle of the Bands gets first choice of dates and either they get those dates or they use another venue, thus we have been bumped out of our February and early April slots, but at least our venue will still be open for us to use 6 months down the line.
But on another plus side, we are confident that with plenty of advance advertising and promotion we can have a successful show in January. We have a solid line-up which has been topped off by a quality head line act who will appeal to both the hardcore and casual audiences.
You could do that... I order you to wear a jumper on stage! :duck:

EPIC FAIL :duck:
At our last show I grabbed two beer crates so I could watch some of the show over the heads of the audience, that's how I saw your 'Enter Mr. Sandman - Angel's Nightmare'. I was on those crates whenever I wasn't dealin with customers on the door.
Also, with more seating for this show I'm hoping that I will have less heads blocking my view when I'm standing on those crates as well as having more viewing angles for our audience.
