WHITE MISCHIEF: "From The Earth To The Moon" - Saturday 10th November, Two Thousand And Seven

The spring’s most talked-about vaudeville club is back, bigger, better and more unmissable than before. It’s grown into an indoor festival where for one night, the 1900s-built former cinema Scala in King’s Cross shall be transformed into a Jules Verne fantasy of steampunk Victorian space exploration, “FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON”

THRILL! To the adventures of Space Pirate Ginger Roger and Trash City mistress Ruby Blues; the sounds of steampunk sirens (and human harps) Skinphony alongside the sweet sweet 78s of the Shellac Sisters in the Lobby Room

BLAST OFF! To British Sea Power giving us a sneak preview of their new album; the big BIG soul of the 10-piece Lord Large Experiment; and the tribal rhythms of Kunta Kinte, interspersed with 1927 Cabaret fresh from their sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe; fallen angel Red Sarah throwing fireballs over the heads of the audience; and our very own emissary from Kim Jong-Il, Miss Fancy Chance - all kept (mostly) under control by indomitable emcee Mat Fraser. When the live music ends, rock to a stunning and rare DJ set from Jean-Paul Séculaire of Right On, back and better than ever, all in the Earth Room

FLY! To dizzying heights with emcee Dusty “Icarus” Limits as he turns the Moon Room into a stellar cascade of cabaret and Weimar debauchery, with sounds provided by deca-darlings Dear Britch, blues duo the Stillhouse Orchestra, and Envy & Other Sins. B-movie bombshell Trixie Malicious; Snow White-with-a-heart-of-Coal Ophelia Bitz and a poor, poor girl led astray into Pearlsworld grace the stage, and 21st-century dandy Dickon Edwards spins the songs.

All this, for a mere 15 of your Earth pounds! (enter promotional code FRIENDS to get a ÂŁ5 limited-time-only discount from the normal rate of ÂŁ20)

Visit TicketWeb to order your tickets - and remember to enter FRIENDS to benefit from the limited discount while it's still available.

Dressing up is not compulsory but is heartily encouraged. If, darling, you simply have nothing to wear, Prangsta does.
