The Electric Circus and its flagship Burlesque show VaVaVoom each celebrate their 1st anniversary over the next month and there are a couple of events MoBers are sure to get excited about. So here's a little info:

Saturday 12th June - 8pm - 3am
The Electric Circus Birthday Extravaganza

The Electric Circus will celebrate its 1st birthday on Sat 12th June with an amazing Circus Sideshow themed party featuring performance by:

Missy Macabre - "Sideshow Royalty" - Bizarre
Mocha Deluxe
Piff the Magic Dragon
+ darkly humorous bands: Withered Hand & White Heath
& Itsy DJs, with a Circus show tune themed set with Go-Go dancers and ambient performance throughout the night.

Bands from 8pm - 10pm :: Circus show from 10:30pm - 3am

Entry is just £3 to those in fabulous circus attire & £6 to all others, tickets on the door, no advance sales.

Saturday 3rd July - 11pm - 3am
VaVaVoom 1st Birthday :: Rock, Roll, Shimmy & Shake

"Edinburgh's most indulgently theatrical club night" returns with a triple headliner bill to celebrate its first year.

The show will star:

Leyla Rose - The Burlesquer they tried to ban
Khandie Khisses - A Sassy knock-out!
Scarlett Daggers - Elegant & Sexy with plenty of shimmy.

+ DJs Cat & Dee Itsy with a soundtrack to keep you shimmying!
& Vivica Devine

Entry £5/6 on the door, no advance tickets.

Interest and excitement for this event is very strong and we're expecting a great crowd for the celebration, don't miss out: bands take to the stage at 8pm making way for the Circus sideshow performance from 10:30pm.

Tonight, Ladies & Gentlemen, is the eagerly awaited 1st Birthday of VaVaVoom - the finest performance-led club night in town & "Edinburgh's most theatrically indulgent club night" according to the Scotsman.

Join myself, Leyla Rose, Khandie Khisses, Scarlett Daggers & very special guest Vivica Devine, for a glorious show that's quality assured, served up alongside a fine cocktail menu and housed in a spectacular venue.

... Ok Cat & I (of Itsy / TG / Kabarett infamy) will be serving up a dash of Rock, Roll, Shimmy & Shake inspired music from across the decades as well as a few pre-TG treats you will not hear anywhere else.
