Hello to one and all
I thought it was about time I pressed finger to keyboard and posted an introduction to all you luverly people out here on the Scottish scene.
I am fairly new to the scene up here in Scotland, but have been involved with many events south of the wall and look forward to getting out to lots more of the wonderful evenings that are being organised in the coming months.
We all really enjoyed our evening at lily’s last month and hope to be getting too many of the events for the next couple of months and our diaries and calendars are filling up nicely. I digress though and there is a reason for the posting and not just an inane hello waffle.
So what is it all about? I hear you say.....
The main aim of this post is to attract some of the lovely lovely people on here to pop along to the grand opening of the next stage of our plans in world domination.
Mwah ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaa
Plus we are looking for some of you to come along to help out on the day and or evening.
On the 1st of May we will be proudly opening the doors on the second phase of our little part of Scotland and Cherry Pie Studios will be opening its doors.
Ideally we are looking for people to come along and maybe give a little bit of a hand. We can’t really offer any payment as such, (the costs of setting up have been astronomical), but I am sure we could rustle up a cocktail or two.
What we can offer though is payment in kind by way of reductions on price of clothing, treatments, tattoos, piercings, and photography to those of you who are willing to drop by, look gorgeous and entice the general public through the doors.
This will also be an opportunity for all you promoters out there to advertise and flyer for up and coming events, businesses and talent. We openly encourage people using the studio as a promotional base, and as an existing and busy little store we do get a good amount of flyers put out for people when they ask nicely.
For anyone who would be interested in giving a helping hand please do get in touch as soon as possible it will be a fun day.
Performances would be brilliant if you feel that you would like to share your skills talents and abilities but we would need to check on the viability of this nearer the time. If a few of you feel you can live without giving it your all, I am sure we could organise this in the space there is and promote it as an event in its own right.
Most of the people who work within the studios have been involved with or been around the scene for a long time and the studio will be loosely themed on the things we love so you wont feel too out of place.
We will in the very near future also be starting up a couple of regular events based on vaudeville and alternative theatre nights at a couple of venues, so it would be a great chance for us to see you and you to see us.
Look forward to hearing from you people in the not too distant future.
Best regards
J
