On Friday June 20th Liverpool’s own Queen Of Culture, Mandy Romero, is hosting “A Night Of Fierce Desire” on board the theatre ship as part of our Potting Shed cabaret season, which take place every month during Liverpool’s Capital of Culture.

Apart from Mandy’s own royal presence and her own performances, the night’s jewel in the crown will be the provocative presence of "Trash Nouveau" from Copenhagen...an ensemble known for extravagant costume making, make up artistry, burlesque by the wonderful Diva Hollywood, performance art, spoken word, electro-house music, visual art and poetry. They master the fine art of falling apart - and to reapper as new genders, characters or creatures over and over again.

Also enmeshed in the twisted and fetishistic web of desire will be balletic soul, burlesque, impassioned texts and even, a touch of the Orient from local chanteuse Goldie Webb.

It will be a night for music-lovers and lovers generally. Mobile phones for once will not be switched off – the whole thing will be a turn-on for all who turn up!

Doors open at 7.30pm with entertainment from 8pm. Be sure to arrive early to get a table. Dancing till late.

Ohhh I can't come this time - but just been checking out the website and it looks fantastic.

I see it says that this is every 3rd Friday each month this year, but is it drag queen and LGBT friendly every month or is this a special one because of this month's theme and artists?

They are different every month depending on the artist but I think the next one is run by Duckie who are an amazing lot so it will be very gay friendly. I don't they are having that one on the boat. But it is part of Homeatopia a big gay art/performance festival they have in Liverpool which should be pretty big this year. Shame you can not make it.

yeah, it sounded fantastic - but I have baby sitting issues...

I had such a good time last night, the boat was decorated really well very old style cabaret and Trash Nouveau were fantastic and have invited me to perform with them in Copenhagen. I had such a great night they treat you so well on the boat you sit down for dinner and have your own cabin to change in. I have two hours to chnage and do my makeup and for my new Geisha routine that was such a treat.
There was also another really cool thing that happened but I can not talk about that bit yet but yahhh I had so much fun.
We really need to set up a baby sitting burlesque agency for performers and audience members, maybe James its something you could incorporate into MOB lol
