Unfortunately due to the lack of help and organisation from the 'promoter' the burlesque night booked in at The Ringside for Saturday 8th December has had to be cancelled as we didn't receive any confirmation of performers or advertising for the event.

As the last one went so well, we are looking into organising another event closer to the New Year with another promoter so please don't be disheartened as we will have burlesque in Hull!

Hi i did respond to where was stated an i recived an emial back and they also said the promoters had let them down and had no knowledge of a burlesque show etc,

So i dont know whats going on there

It was at the Haworth Arms, it was a mixture of cabaret and burlesque, which always works better in my view-it's run by magicians who are members of the Magic Circle, so there were some astounding tricks, escapology, fire tricks etc! Plus myself with burlesque dancing and Bella Von Kiss with burlesque singing. Together we popped Hull's burlesque cherry! It went very well indeed, unexpectedly, they are going to make it a regular thing.

'Twas me who emailed you m'dear! We had the date all arranged and confirmed with the promoter and I kept asking for a copy of the poster for the night so I could advertise but I received nothing from her and no reply to my emails! She's a known performer so naturally I was disappointed by the lack of help from her.

I did intend to go the the Haworth evening but due to work committments couldn't make it.

Someone come organise a night here please, we've got better facilities than Haworth!

Haworth was actually a great venue, and the night was fab. They constructed a stage specially, there was cabaret seating, and I had a dressing room all for myself! There will be more nights in the future, it's worth keeping an eye open for.

Having frequented the venue in the past I know that it is indeed a lovely place. We're about 10 minutes down the road from there near the Welly club. I can also provide a separate dressing room, toilet and even shower if needed. Room would of course be set up appropriately for the event. If you want any photographs of the room sending please let me know.

I'm still looking for performers and/or someone to organise a night. I'd organise things myself but having not done this type of event before I don't want to mess it up!

I'd be more than happy to perform if you wanted, I'd also like to help organise it, as I organised my own cabaret night at uni, on a very small scale, but it would probably be too difficult from here in Dorset!

The last one we organised seemed simple enough(?) We could do with 4 performers doing 2/3 tunes each or together and I can organise advertising and a band from this end. It's just getting the performers confirmed as I don't want to go booking bands and the like and advertising the evening and people cancelling on me!

I'll sort out paying a band and the sound engineer, all money taken on the door will be split between the performers. Hopefully this seems fair???
