I'll sort out paying a band and the sound engineer, all money taken on the door will be split between the performers. Hopefully this seems fair???

When were you thinking of doing it? I'm actually probably going to be living in Manchester in the New Year, so it would not be as far as I thought. I can do the booking of performers, did you want just burlesque striptease acts, it might appeal to a wider audience if other acts were involved too. I could come up to Hull a couple of days beforehand to help sort out decorations etc.
Profit shareing is fair enough, the only trouble is that cos it's Hull, the chances of making a big enough profit to cover expenses AND give the performers something is quite small-the night I did at The Haworth was successful cos people came and they enjoyed it, but the organisers made a loss, even though I was the only performer that got paid! Which might not be a huge problem if we were getting local performers who didn't need to run up huge travel expenses that needed covering (e.g. my coach ticket, plus petrol to the coach station, cost nearly a hundred quid!) but I'm not aware of many Hull burlesquers and other performers, except the ones I met at the Haworth. Although I'm sure they would be very happy to take part. Depends what you want.
PM me your email address and we can chat properly and get the ball rolling. Either way I'm happy to perform a couple of acts, and my contacts from the other night would come in useful for garnering audiences.
