you can learn chinese pole in bristol with tao guo at circus maniacs, london at circus space and i believe no fit state teach in cardiff now.

if you are farther north you could come and be taught by myself and edd... tuesday nights are chinese pole night but private classes could also be arranged...

ant if you could get to bristol, tao is the best in the country to speak to... Circus Maniacs International. Circus School

i hardly think anyone can be blamed for wanting to invade Edd Muir's personal space.

but i have had a couple of occasions where drunks have invaded the stage and been difficult to remove. they seem to think 'cabaret' is the same thing as 'karaoke'. i did once just hand the mic to one of them and let him make a fool of himself in front of the baying crowd.

i do wish venues would make sure their security are on the ball when we're on stage. especially for burlesque performers (who might well be semi-naked and have a lot of props) it's pretty important.

mehehe! it was more the 4ft stage she had to leap up on that impressed me i have to say...

the security were rubbish to be honest, one of them said to me "if you're taking your clothes off, what do you expect?" complete doody head...

there was a drunk at plastic people on fri who wanted meg la mania's microphone... fool thought he could sing...sorry but you've got a hard act coming after that songstress...surprisingly enough he couldn't break out a note...

really interesting to hear other people's opinions, especially from the guys. i'm quite sure had a guy jumped on woman's stage he would have been beaten to a pulp wheras when it happened to edd, we all just laughed... weird isn't it?

I think were laughing at Edd as theres' the whole stereotype of 'men can take care of themselves, whereas women need someone to take care of them' which is romantic in someways and damned annoying in others.

I saw Edds diet coke routine in the flesh in the May House of Golden Lotus (that seems to be where the youtube video was taken), infact after he and a couple of the other performers were asking the swing dance teacher I was dancing with that night about lessons... I wonder how that worked out.

It's be great to learn chinese pole. What's the scene like for female chinese pole acts, rather than those who can regular pole dance (which I'm learning as an extra curricular at uni now...it hurts!..Im such a weakling!)
