    Wink Strictly Come Dancing!!

I had to do this (I am an absolute Strictly Addict!) but. . . Does anyone think that Strictly has got ridiculously sexy this year, as in It's absolutely, amazingly just sexy?!

I must admit it that I do love it though! Oh my!

    Much love

It's all the sequins and sparkle they wear, and then there is the womans clothing!! I have costume envy! I felt for Natalie yesterday though, she looked really uncomfortable in that red get up that was basically a swimsuit with tassles.

Alisha is good, but i miss Arlene, i thought she was harsh at times but if she liked you then you knew you were doing well.

I missed a lot of the last series as I don't have a telly, but I might have to start catching it on the iPlayer if the costumes are better than they have been before!

A friend said there was a "corset-like" garment in the first show, I'm looking forward to seeing that :-)

i missed arlene too... seemed overwhelmingly positive from the judging panel tonight, considering the contestants are only beginners.

cant help thinking the bbc booted her out and brought aleesha in to sex things up a bit... and aleesha isnt going to know as much about dancing is she really? she was in the same position as the contestants just about a year ago! i appreciate that gives her a different perspective but that doesnt necessarily translate to good judging... she seems a lovely celeb and shes doing her best, but did anyone else notice whenever she talks, the other judges are looking at her like "what the hell are you on about?"..? my o/h even swore she saw one of the other judges writing something down on her paper like "say this, ok!?"

Although I'm a big fan of Alesha Dixon I think that she is sadly waaaaaay out of her depth on the judging panel. She doesn't have the experience , technical knowledge or qualifications to judge the contestants. I would rather be given constructive criticism by an experienced and world reknowned dancer and choreographer like Arlene rather than sympathetic flattery by Alesha any day.

    Bring Back Arlene!!!

She is like a poacher turned gamekeeper, i think they are trying to copy X factor too much. They brought in Cheryl to get a view of what it was like for someone who had been in the same position but at least she has been in the industry for a while. I can't see why they have changed only her, because Arlene even said herself she didn't want to leave. I wonder if Len will go next year and be replaced by John Sargent!!

I totally agree with this. But I think the viewing population in general are intimidated by strong no-nonsense women so the BBC caved and got rid of her :-(

Lots of stupid decisions from the BBC now-a-days...

Or they just wanted to make it more like the american version where all the judges are nice nearly all of the time. I didn't think i was going to miss arlene but I totally do, I might start a drinking game for every time alicia says "your arms were a bit throw away"

Although anyone see ola jordans costume for her rhumba last night, jeezy crizi! I have routines that end with me wearing more clothes than that, possibly cause my figure doesn't look like hers!

Bring on the rest of this series, I do so miss it when its not on tv!

Whilst in my supermarket this morning I skimmed the front pages of the tabloids and there seems to be almost universal agreement that Alesha is NOT fulfilling expectations on the judging panel. Maybe the BBC will now admit that it made a lousy decision. Alesha should have refused the job offer when the BBC first made it as surely even she is aware that she would be out of her depth.

Alesha would have been better placed in more of a 'Strictly' roving-reporter type role. Perhaps doing backstage or rehearsal interviews with the professional dancers and celebrities. Or perhaps interviewing the general public and fans of the show.

Sadly, much as I love Strictly, Alesha's lack of knowledge and useless comments are putting me off watching. I can't bear to watch her cringeworthy remarks any more.....aaaaaaargh!!!!

It will be interesting to see if they do a 'Kelly Brook' and retire her to a spin off show or if they stand their ground and go with their decision. If they do remove it who will they get to replace her? Arlene will probably stick two fingers up at them, and if they don't replace her that will leave a big gap in the female judging. Someone suggested Bonnie Langford, she has some dance experience and her bright character would be cheery enough without being all cheese for the cameras. Or will they go the America route and have a guest judge each week??
