Thread: Porn pop ups???!!

Ok so this is a bit weird,

I've been using the Mob for a good two years now and have a very good pop up blocker on my laptop and have never had any problems, but all of a sudden today every time I click through to another page on here I get a pop up to a porn site.... it's getting very annoying, is anyone elase experiencing this and does anyone know how to get the flippin' thing to stop???

Yeah go to your security settings and specifically block all pop ups from MoB. James knows and is looking into it - there was a big convo on the Battle of Burlesque thread about it.

That is SO annoying, when I first went on the internet, I used to get spammy porn emails all the time, and because my email address doesn't give a clue to my gender, I would get, from the same company, on the same day, offers to enlarge my boobs, and ten minutes later, they wanted to show me how to have better sex with a bigger dick! It didn't take long for me to learn about filters. I never get any sort of popups now, but I do get emails from on-line casinos. Anyone know a way I can block them?

Insufferable !!!

i live by the wee links at the bottom of the emails to remove my name from their lists. only now getting a few spam a day but have seemed to have got rid of all the sex based ones.

phew thank goodness its not just me. At first I thought it was some random dating thing until I realsie the thing in front of the womans face wasn't a close up of her finger. Ipaniced and emailed the powers that be. It made it worse because I'm at work,ops: I probably wouldn't have been as bothered if I was at home

Are these popups happening at the moment?

They seem to have stopped for me now. They were happening first thing this morning. I haven't changed any security settings (though I did clear my cache)
