Default "OH Yay, Oh Yay, tis SATURDAY!

Our town cryer was out as it is Saturday. She is a lovely lady with a rather small voice She was waxing lyrical about all the gubins going on in Wareham for the "Festive Season" and how every one was to have a Merry Christmas and go to Church coz all the churches had stuff on etc.........................Now, problem is, Lady St Mary Church in the town has decided NOT to have all it's carol services this year they are only having ONE service...................Seems that, as they do not have a "Vicar", no one can do these services..................What total and utter bollox! Any lay minister/preacher can do them!.

Anyway, my cheque has cleared and very soon I am orf to buy me noo camera.

What are youse yins all doing today then? AND, how did that big do go last night?

    A fairly routine Saturday.

Spent 45mins trying to wake up my 18yr old daughter so she could be at work on time!!!! Spent an hour at work :daft: And am now gearing myself up to an evening of fun & frivolity at my folks, celebrating my baby bro's 40th birthday!!! :twothumbs:

Hope everyone has a safe & peaceful rest of weekend

I was going to blow £600 on a DSLR then I found the Olympus E410, a rather neat little package for only £283 from Curries! Twil take a few days to get used to the controls BUT, I can shut the electronic controls orf and have an "ordinary camera" if I want to. They tried to sell me a Compact Flash Card for the thing, £39.............!! So I delighted in telling them I can get a 2 gig one online for under a tenner

The camera will do the job I want it to do for the next couple of years or, untill someone brings out a 100 megapixel for the same price............Ho, ho, ho!

That's a really good price for a good camera! Good for you. I really want to buy myself a good camera but will take a while before I can afford it.

Well I had my last driving lesson today. Which was great apart from when some random guy came up f-ing and blinding and threatening bodily harm because I parked behind his FORD FIESTA, which was older than the Fiesta I myself was driving. This is the kind of ridiculous thing that happens when you're in a car with L-plates. What exactly prevented him from asking us politely not to use his car? He said all this crap about how I obviously couldn't do it and wasn't ready - when he doesn't know the first thing about me. I was having a slightly off day with parallel parking and it took me three go's to get my steering perfect. But at no point was there any risk of me touching his precious car. And the time when he chose to do this - when I'd just successfully parked and was about to bloody leave. Moron. My driving instructor is reporting him to the police since he threatened to "smash your fucking face in". Lovely.

But other than that I've had a great day and my lesson was really good - though I appear to have an inability to close the car bonnet - for some unknown reason when I drop it it doesn't close... Weird.

OMG Emiwee, that's horrible. I hope your instructor whoops his ass! :blackeye:

I had a guy start f-ing and blinding at me on my driving test. He'd flashed his lights for me to pull out of a junction but, I'd already been warned by my instructor never to pull out when someone flashes you on a test as it counts as an observation fault on your part cos the examiner has no way of knowing whether you had checked everything was clear or not. So, I stayed where I was and the guy sped past giving me the finger and yelling about f-ing stupid women drivers. I don't think he'd spotted that my examiner was a woman until he got close. She passed me hehehe!!

Thanks guys, he was horrible! I hope nothing like that happens on my test, the only problem being his road is on a test route! My examiner will deal with anything like that though so I shouldn't need to worry.

Glad your christmas shopping was fun December, I've done mine too and I did enjoy it a lot

my saturday has been pretty damn boring as has most of my week
I've been really ill all week so been pretty much stuck in bed all week - i went to the docs yesterday and she said i have Bronchitis and has given me some antibiotics so i hope i start to feel better soon.
I have sooo much uni work to catch up after missing 6 classes and 7 rehearsals this week because of my illness so i'm feeling very stressed and worrying about it!

But on the plus side, my lovely boyfriend got me some double-chocolate cookies to make me feel better
