May the force be with you!
Bonjour Mes Amis,
I am after some advice I have been invited to a Star Wars and Robot themed fancy dress party on New Years eve and am not sure what to dress up as! Whether to go the comedy route and dress as Optimus Prime Benevolent leader of the autobots - the good transformers) or Bender from Futurama (not entirely sure how this would be achieved, but would be fun to go round telling everyone to 'Bite my shiney metal ass'!) or the glam route and buy a Princess Leia costume - but if I go for this option it just throws up more choices . . . should I go in the infamous gold bikini or the white dress? (I've found both in Jokers masquerade online costume store
Also the white dress has slits right up each side of the leg so is not frumpy! :eyebrows
.
Any input would be most welcome as I am terribly indecisive (also there is someone there I should like to make an impression of the good variety upon!
)
Merci

Well if it is Star Wars and Robots there will probably be a lot of Leias. So if you want something original best steer clear of that. I reckon there will be a lot more white dress Leias than gold bikini ones.
I reckon you should go as R2D2

Tee Hee yeah that would be cute, my brother is going as well maybe I should ask him to go as C3PO (I doubt he will though!).
Its a house party so there arent going to be that many people there, but yeah I guess most girls will jump on the Leia band wagon . . . maybe I could go as one of the femme bots from Austin Powers - but then people might just think I turnned up dressed for bed lol

Bender would be immensely funny to do! I completely agree that telling everyone to "Bite my shiny metal ass!" would be hilarious! But the actual costume would be rather awkward to get together, to say the least!

If you want to go Star Wars, but avoid the oh-so-obvious Princess Leia route, go check out Wookieepedia - Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki. There are loads of female characters that you could choose from there, therefore (hopefully) reducing the chances of you reproducing a costume that someone else is wearing. :winkgrin:
Well, don't know if this has helped, but i tried....

Go classic - Maria from Metropolis
Of course if you wanted to cheat you could always go as a Terminator or a Replicator

May I offer three barely tenable suggestions? A Dalek or a Cyberman or the new evil woman who is the Cybermens boss?
