I agree with what everyone else is saying. You have been a really good friend to her, and you sound really supportive. It's good that she still talks to you. But don't feel bad about not inviting her to stay - that's far too much to take on. She needs more professional help than you'd be able to give her.

    Hello Lovely,
I was just thinking about this earlier and was wondering how you and your friend are?

Arrghh. We've had a bit of a hiccup, Although everything seems happy in Fiance land for the time being.
As you might remember, D got offered a job over in Oz. It would mean we'd miss the wedding but until it was settled I didn't want to tell her (just in case nothing came of it and she'd have been upset for no reason). And thinking ahead, everyone in the circle knew I was biding my time and not to mention it.
(Btw, looks like the credit crunch has crunched the move). Friday when I was at work she rang me, as soon as I answered she started screaming at me how I'd better be on a plane to fly over for the wedding as well as for the Hen night. Told her I didn't know what was happening and since I was in work I'd ring her back later. Since then she won't talk to me, and apparently has taken the view that I'm too jealous and bitter to see her get married for the second time and have had to run away to the other side of the world.....

Yep apparently I'm too jealous of the fact she's getting married for the second time, While I remain (in terms of marriage) A virgin. But it does mean that in around a week, she'll have some round to the point of view that she should feel sorry for me. A similar thing happened when she got married last time, and I didn't want to travel cross country to the engagement party during my final exams.
