Ding Dong Merrily or Bah Humbug?
So...christmas?
Feeling the love yet, or still not ready?
Personally, I'm not ready for this malarky yet for 2 reasons. A) it has been THE quickest year ever (I'm sure I say this every year...lol) and B) as I have a December birthday, it never really feels like I can get into the swing of xmas until I've had my birthday pass...
Also, I'm so broke and keep seeing pretty things I want including these: SUGAR O'lasted Mary Jane - High Heels - Shoes - Topshop
I have SO fallen in love with them *sigh*...I'm not cut out for this christmas lark

Till last year I was pretty bah humbug about the whole event and we had low key christmasses for quite a while but last year my niece was old enough to know what was goingon and that absolutely made christmas for me
It really is a time for Children rather than adults (not that I count as an adult most of the time!)

Quite a long story but I hate Xmas.....not in a bah humbug kind of way though and fully want people to enjoy it, just have my reasons.
Despite that, I keep seeing cute things to buy for some lil people I know.....

Starting to feel the lurve, but only because it has been mostly purchased and wrapped, and my boyfriend has, unusually, formulated this year's travel plan. So I have endeavoured to get the stressful stuff sorted out of the way before it gets busy, and I can actually enjoy it. (Otherwise it's hassle, things not done, stuff to arrange, while work goes frantic just before the break and I cry with dread and panic. That's happened before. But anyway...)
And I'm also hugely looking forward to my fortnight off. I really need the break.

Ah...well I had forgotten the holidays...:excited:
Off from the 23rd - not back til the 5th - i SO need this holiday...woohoo
And just found out now that I'm probably doing a lot of catching up with old mates this holiday season - 1st single xmas and new year in around 8 years (I worked this out last night...eek
) so I plan on enjoying it just the way I want to :twothumbs:

I don't look at "Christmas" as Christmas any more. I tend to look at it from a pagan point of view in that my/our ancestors were huddling on yurts or caves or mud huts etc and this was the "dead season" when they didn't know if they would survive the winter. I tend to start this on the 21st Dec (Yule) and finish around Imbolg.
On a lighter note, I was thinking about puting together a road show in the South using all the miserable gits that abound at this time of year and call it "HUMBUG A GO GO!"
