Kittie Noir has a problem!
Look under Kittie Noir's name, the motto reads:
"Feeling pooey cos I'm getting older." We've got to help this lady. Darling, we are all, "getting older."
I have found some inspirational quotes that help us accept the growing older aspect of life, such as:
You can only be young once. But you can always be immature.
What is youth except a man or a woman before it is ready or fit to be seen?
Youth is a wonderful thing. What a crime to waste it on the young.
If youth only knew: if age only could. ( Actually, this is better in the original french.)
In youth we learn; in age we understand.
To get back my youth I would do anything in the world, except take exercise, get up early, or be respectable.
In case you're worried about what's going to become of the younger generation, it's going to grow up and start worrying about the younger generation.
And Kittie , darling,my favourite comes from my late Nan. she would tell me that the wrinkled old lady that lived in her mirror wasn't her. She was forever eighteen.
And the reason she gave was that:
Growing old is inevitable..........growing up, isn't.
I love people sweetheart, young, old and everyone in between.
So cheer up, you have a classic beauty and you are truly beautiful, and even more so with the laughter lines. :hug:WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

Well said Broomy - hear hear!!!!!!!!!
I always have to think twice when people ask me how old I am (37) as I only feel about 23!!!!!!!!!!!! I just wish I had this much confidence etc when I was actually 23 but I think that comes with age and experience !!!!!
No-one should feel ashamed of their age!!!!! And on a positive note I have been getting very friendly on-line (the site shall remain nameless!!!) with a GORGEOUS 21 year old guy who is not bothered about my age - hurrah!!!!!!!!!

Well how do you know? I won't go into the why's and wherefores but an elderly gent that we used to call our adopted grandad, had just lost his beloved wife, which is why we were approached to befriend him. He was seventy, his late wife was eighty six. That, Miss Pixie, is exactly the same age difference between you and your online guy. So I ask you again. How do you know?

True Broomy - but he's younger than my daughters boyfriend!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, logistics are a problem at the moment - he lives in Liverpool although is happy to travel here HURRAH!!!!!!! (I'm such a lazy motorist) I'm sounding him out about burlesque and hope that maybe he could come down here for the next Pitty Patt in December but seems a long way off!!!!!!!!!
Might all come to nothing but I'm enjoying it at the moment - will keep you posted sweetie xxxxxx

Wow! Go Pixie!

My mum and her "partner" (they've been engaged for about 8 years so I never know how to describe him- boyfriend sounds too casual, fiance..well I don't think they actually will get married, and husband doesn't work) have been together for over ten years now. She was roughly 34 and he 21 when they got together. (I say roughly as that is the "official" story- long story!) They also have a (very almost) nine year old son together.
It doesn't look like they are going to break up anytime soon, which is actually a shame as I hate the man but there we go.Snowflakes and Sparkles

Oh poor you December - doesn't sound great. But thanks for your support sweetie x I think he might come down here for next Pitty Patt in December so plenty of time to plan / worry / shop (!) etc!!!!!! That's if nothing goes wrong in the meantime. He's a bit young for all this burlesque business though - might put him off!!!!!!!!!
It all feels a bit weird though as my sort-of-ex and I have been on and off for 20 years (always 'off' at HIS choice) and have never really imagined being with anyone else - oh well!!!!!!!!

Ooh the HIS choice bit is not good!
Well done you for finding someone else. Even if it doesn't last long, though of course there is no reason why it shouldn't, you will get so much confidence knowing that you can be with someone else.
Plus, you are so beautiful and lovely that there is every reason that you should be with someone
