Default Some people...

I just got back from my little trek to Tesco and on the way back I heard a woman's high pitched voice shouting "Topsy! Tooopsy!!!". I knew what that meant- a dog. I happen to be a little scared of dogs, and this was one of those scary looking ones. Like a little bull terrier thing.

The woman was clealry trying to call it in but Topsy had other ideas. She (I assume it's a she with a name like Topsy) was sniffing around the bushes and then noticed me. She came dawdling up to me (not running, to my relief) and looked up at me. I was a bit wary so looked back and said hello, whilst walking away as quickly as I could without drawing attention to the fact.

As I walked past the owner, I heard her say "F***ing idiot". I thought she was talking about the dog but when I turned around I was suprised to see she was glaring at me. I just smiled sweetly and carried on my way.

???

I was a little confused to say the least. Did she think I was preventing the dog from listening to her? Did she think I was calling it to me? I quite clearly barely acknowledged it, and she was close enough to see that.

The dog is now running around the field playing with some children and I can still hear her calling it. So maybe the children are now to blame for her lack of control? Of course, anyone but herself.

Blooming idiot!

I'm not sure. But you would think if she can't keep control of it, it would make sense to put it on a lead anyway.

Why call a Bull Terrier 'Topsy'? You hear Topsy, you think Poodle/Bijon/Some sort of lapdog!

I think a dog should be on a lead around tescos really! My cat was killed by a loose dog while we were away on holiday the other week, she was ripped to shreds and another small dog was also attacked. I'm not at all afraid of dogs but I do think some owners should take more care.

Oh my God my darling that is so sad! I am so sorry for you, I know how I would feel if it was one of my babies!

Irresponsible pet owners make my blood boil! Pets are a priviledge, not a right!!

Grr.

I'll calm down before I get all RSPCA on you! x

I absolutely HATE it when people dont have their dogs on a lead, last week I was walking my dog (who was on a lead) hes 15 and has a bit of trouble walking but still acts like a puppy bless. Anyway I was walking down the road and a huge Pit Bull came running up and jumped on his back. It was horrible my poor dog just collapsed because he has bad legs so I literary grabbed the pit bull and kicked it actoss the floor, I manged to pick my dog up but the pit bull was just stood there snarling and growling at me!
Then a woman came running over and was angry at me because i hit her dog!!! I just said 'what do you want me to do let it rip me and my dog to shreds?!!!' I then told her to get contol of her dog put it on a lead and get it a muzzle!! This woman was unbelievable she screamed at ME telling me to f off and that I would be sorry! I just said yeah well that dog probably isnt even legal! Even when she was walking off the dog ran away from her again.

My poor dog was ok though he had scrapes on his legs where he must have tried to scramble up but the pit bull didnt break his skin when it bit him thankfully. I must have managed to get it off him in time.

Some people are so stupid!!

Oh no your poor dog!! I'm glad he's ok! Some people are so horribly irresponsible! There should be much tougher laws on animal welfare. That just shows that there's no such thing as a bad dog, just a bad owner!!!

I bet she was a chav? She sounds like a chav! Screaming like that in the street!!! Worst thing that dog only attacked because it didn't know better!

Dog training should be manadatory!!

Cat training.... would be amusing to watch.

Check out The Dog Whisperer on TV - does more with the owners than he does with the pooches!
