Hi December - just saw this thread.
Poor ol' you!
If you're on a stage, the lighting will probably bleed out any colour that is in your war wound anyway :-)
Knock 'em dead kiddo!

Ouch you poor thing. Ditto everyone else, you'll be great and with such a pretty face why would anyone be looking at your knees?

Covering bruises with make up is a lot more difficult than it sounds - even with the camouflage make up that's designed for birthmarks and tattoos! It takes a lot of practise and even then it's just hard to get right. I bruise very easily and always have bruised kness when I do my fan dance (from practising one particular move) and anyone who was at Silk Stocking when I performed will have seen I can get some huuuuuge mystery bruises! Don't worry about covering them up - the stage lighting will in all probability hide them for you. Plus, if you're worried about trying to cover them, you'll get self conscious and not enjoy your routine, which will show on your face. Concentrate on getting rid of any pain, don't worry about the cosmetic issues

Ouch, poor you!
The main thing is to make sure you are actually OK - no dance routine (even a burlesque one) is worth hurting yourself for. :worried:
Having said that, if you're sure your leg is up for dancing on then I'm sure you'll knock them dead - as other people have commented the crowd will be looking at you, not your knees!
Knock 'em dead hun! :twothumbs: :cooler:

Thankfully, the bruises aren't as bad as I thought they would be this morning. The worst part is my foot, but as I said, that will be mainly covered.
