    Default Pink food ideas please.

    Hello!
A friend of mine is having a Pink Party to raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness and (as people seem to like my cooking, especially my cakes) she has asked me to make some cakes. She would really like them all to go along with the theme.
Please please, if you have any ideas, could I borrow them?
    xx

    Hey!
In Holland we have something called 'Pink Cakes' and the regular (shop) ones look like this: http://rozekoek.nl/wp-content/upload...k-icon-175.jpg

Basically they are little cakes with a pink sugar glaze.

I have found a recipe but it's in Dutch. If you're interested I can translate it for you, but I'll have to add I've never tried it out myself!

how about buying one of the giant french fancy cakes in pink? or you could make regular fairy cakes and makeup some pink icing sugar and pipe on the ribbon, that might look good. or what about making fruit kebabs? you can use strawberries, raspberries, watermelon and cherries or whatever pink/red fruits you can think off. good luck!

Ooh, a friend of mine had a make up party with a pink theme. She made mini muffins with pink icing and hundreds and thousands on top and served them on a big plate with cherries, rasberries and strawberries all around them, it looked really pretty. And we drank pink lemonade in champagne glasses - very girlie!

There's a restaurant in London that do the most outrageous desserts. One concoction is called:
    "In The Pink."
It's a mixture of pink mousse, pink blancmange, pink champagne and raspberries topped with cream, dyed pink, of course.
    Nordljus: In The Pink!

Mmmmmm, omg, how orgasmic does that sound.

I'd go one further, and have the strawberrys dipped in belgiun white chocolate
and have white chocolate truffels with a strawberrry and champagne center. layered threwout and one for decoration.

:wallbash: grrr see what you did broomy im now on a quest for a strawberry champagne white chocolate truffel and can't get one till tomorrow.
Spud bake for tea, yuck, bland, patewwwwie. CHOCOLATE DECODANCE.
( Eats broomys hat in a cravings rage )

Thank you so much! That would be great! A friend of mine does speak Dutch but I'm not so sure his knowledge would stretch that far!

You have all come up with some great ideas! I love the iea of the pink-y coloured fruits and then all the french fancy pink cakes stuff.

I'm quite excited about making them all!
    Thank you!
