Thread: It took me a lot of guts to put this on

It has taken me ages to get the guts to put an avatar on here. For one I have never ever liked having my photograph taken, as I think I look horrific and do not look good in pictures at all. I finally asked my other half (who nearly fell over with shock) to take a picture of me and my daughter on the weekend, I never ask. I've photochopped it and I think it looks half decent, but still part of me wants to take it off immediately as it probably is awful and go back into hiding. But I will try and not delete it.

You have prettiest colouring - beautiful pale skin and I love the colour of your hair. Your eyes too are really big, pretty, very sparkly.

It's really lovely to see the wonderful person we've been talking to and I do hope you get your OH to take lots more photos of you and you really have a good look at them and begin to realise that you ARE good in photos.

Well done on taking this step though - I know it took guts. But it was worth it.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I HATE photos of me - hence my avatar!!!!!!! But as I've got older my confidence has grown and I am MUCH more comfortable in my own skin. To be honest, I care less about pleasing everyone else and more about pleasing myself. Hope that doesn't make me sound selfish coz I'm most definately not.

Your photo is FABULOUS and you have GREAT colouring - you should be very pleased with it.

I thank heaven for digital cameras. Out of every 20 pictures taken of me I might get 1 that I feel is OK, but I am my own worst critic.

Well done you - looking forward to seeing LOTS more fab photos of you.

Handbags at dawn for the dress I'm afraid!!!!!! I also have it in blue & white stripe and have silver petticoats too!!!!!!! Told you I love dressing up!!!!! (more confident when in character I think!)
