I didn't, but it was on several news sites that the pill is apparently now good for you as it helps you live longer! This is apparently including the high-risk groups such as smokers and people with high blood pressure and high risk of heart disease.

*shrugs* I never know what to believe these days. Everything gives you cancer, then the next minute it's all good for you again. I just do it and hope for the best.

I feel bad taking my pill as i dont liek the idea of adding bad stuff to my body, but without them I dont get regular periods, if i do (which is once every six monthish naturally) they last for about a month, are extremely heavy and painful. This is cause of having severe PCOS. With the pill it helps reduce the size of the pollyps (something along those lines) and gives me a regular period. Which i LOVE! I may be th eonly lass to say she enjoys having periods

i am eactly the same hun, i get maybe two periods a year(at most) and i havent actully had one since my twins were born ten months ago. and before i got pregnant i didnt have a period for over four mnths, so the midwife couldnt work out when i had conceived (although i knew exactly when i ovulated because i still get the symptoms when im suppsed to be due on- but of course medical professionals dont believe you know your own body)
if being on the pill works for you than that is great-i am pleased, i just know that when i went on it for 6months or so when i was sixteen it interfered with my cycles before they had really settled down.
the when i was scanned during the pregnancy they said i had a small cyst on one of my ovaries but it wasnt big anough to cause concern. they kept an eye on it anyway because of it being a multiple pregnancy.xx

Here is my list! Excuse the typos and any spelling mistakes This is starting from age 21, just 4 years ago...

Microgynon - Breakthrough bleeding/short cycle, bloated
Brevinor - Breakthrough bleeding/short cycle, rubbish moods
    Femodene - Breakthrough bleeding/short cycle
Cerazette - Was amazing for 6 months, no pain, little PMT, no period then... Found a lump in my breast, went to see breast surgeon who strongly recommended me to come off it as the breast lump was a gland and my breasts were very lumpy, still are a bit now
Yasmin - Worked cycle wise but turned me into an emotional crazed looney woman and following me being physically aggressive (not like me) to my boyfriend in an argument, I stopped it.

Been offered Cilest in the past but didn't take it due to reviews.

Currently using rubbers, not ideal but except it as feel normal again. BTW, totally recommend Crown... Google, very thin and barely there!

Booked in to have the coil but not sure at the moment... Jury out...

It is so dependant on you the individual though. All I know is that I feel happy and healthier in myself not taking the hormones.

I have only been on Dianette, im too scared to try other types, as I am quite happy with this one so far.
I do get mood swings but i do have a naturally short temper ( rare i get angry though), so no one really noticed much of a change From the foods i eat, mainly white bread, i am bloated more often than not, so again i saw no change.
I have no spots, my boobs have grown 2 sizes in a year (DD to F) and i have a regular pain free period that lasts 4-5 days. Only downside i get is that my tummy when im on like to make daft noises.
