I decided that if I was going to play around with something as important as my eyes I would go to Moorefield's. I decided on a consultant and went along thinking it was going to cost me £4850 for the op but as I could pay interest free credit over 3 years. When I went to book the surgery I was told it had been reduced to £3950 to allow more people to afford it.
I would highly recommend going to Moorefield's as the after care you get is first class !

I'm quite scared with the idea of being zapped in the face!
I quite like my geeky old lady glasses but they are a pain at times and contacts are a nightmare when i'm at work. hours on the computer... I may as well rub sand in my eyes!
I've got to the point even when i'm not wearing glasses I go to push them up my nose. Its a little embarrassing!

I had mine done through Optical Express and have to say they are brilliant. Because my vision was so bad I was well warned that I might need two ops (which I did) but the result is fabulous. The aftercare has been really good too. If anyone is interested i've got some money off vouchers!!!!!
It cost me just under 4k but it's been well worth it. When I was doing my research I spoke to Ultralase as well - they were a grand extra.Twirly, whirly, sparkly, Oooh!
