Mine's a Kenwood too, and the one previous to that was too, and that was about 30 years old when it had finally had it.

Thanks everyone Kenwodd seems to be in the lead any particular model. Do you think they are as good as they were 30 years ago owned by the same people?

Mine's a Kenwood. It was a Christmas present from my boss so he bought pretty much the most all singing, all dancing, most expensive one and, to be honest, it was a bit of a waste of money because I don't use anywhere near half the gadgets. I tend to use just the most basic (plastic) blade for mixing up ingredients for pastry and/or crumble toppings! As for cake mixtures, I find my hand held whisk thingy the best for that. Hope that helps.

I've got a Kenwood, it is amazing and has every single gizmo and gadget you could imagine with it.
I would highly recommend a Kenwood

Have a look on Amazon the kenwoods are rated high. If you choose best selling you will see Kenwood come out on top. You can also read other peoples reviews which might be helpful. buying small appliances is a minefield! I had the same trouble choosing a toaster

The one I got was this one:
[ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kenwood-Cuisine-KM196-Mixer-Silver/dp/B000G3JTSU"]Kenwood Cuisine KM196 3-In-1 Mixer (Silver): Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home[/ame]
I opted for a three in one cause I do a lot of baking so I wanted a mixer too, you can still get them online (in other places, just thought the pic was best on amazion!) although it depends how much you want to spend, I think it was around about £100 for mine but if you wont use everything on it there's no point in going for the 3 in 1 option.
I have to say, I don't often use the chopper/slicer, but I use it a lot of baking, soups, and juicing.
AND the only reason my original one (the really old one) died a death was living in a house with four boys who were protien shake freaks and who couldn;t clean everything properly, the motor went in the end!
