- also, walking under the twinkly lights in merchant city in glasgow - i tend to bump into people when i'm drunk as i'm too busy lookin at them!

- getting good and dressed up for a night out with the girls

I'm going to start a new version of this thread for all those of us who don't have fabulous husbands, wives, boyfriends etc. Or even un-fabulous ones.....

Things I love ( about being single):

Being able to wear the 'ran-in-the-wash' knickers without a second thought.
Not having to make the bed.
Flirting outrageously without feeling guilty.
Spending the whole day in my pyjamas without feeling like a slob.
Being able to swan off to Rome or Paris or somewhere else gorgeous at a moments' notice.
Sharing a bed with my Gay Best Friend Fritz without anyone getting the wrong idea.
Raucous girlie nights in with the Shazza the lovely lodger.
Opening a bottle of champagne 'just because'.
Never having to worry about what time I go to bed, or get up.
Watching whatever I like on the telly. Whenever I like.
Not having to worry about being grumpy when it's that time of the month.
Deciding for myself what suits me and what I want to wear.
Practising burlesque moves without anyone laughing or giving me unwelcome comments.
Never having to justify the size of my credit card and mobile bills.
Going out on my own to dance tango.
Never having to put the seat back down!

- chinese, indian, thai food.... just wish they were better for me
- dancing - an absolute passion
- scuba - another passion
- cava - don't think i would get through a week without a glass or 2 of cava!
- getting my hair and nails done... don't all girls
- friends and family - kinda goes without saying
- tropical beaches and lovely sunshine - especially at this time of year - i wish i could get beamed there!

I could go on and on and on, but this is actually depressing me now, especially my last point!

art-drawing, painting, tattooing, making beautiful things that make me happy,
books books books! ...especially reading oscar wilde then imagining im 19th centuary aristocracy.....
music! metal, rockabilly, big band .....i dont care, its all good!
knowing ive done something to make someone smile
history, esp victorian / ww2
pear cider (had to sneak its way in the list somewhere!!)
sitting up till an ungodly hour giggling about nonsense with my friends
being inspired, by performers, artists, films and beautiful pin ups
having adventures and meeting interesting new friends
and finally, im going to have to say, my slimming group as its making me feel happy about myself again!
