Oh and about the mirrors, I found when I first started that they weren't neccessary, as it was such a big class that it would have been difficult to see anyway and caused a bit of self-consiousness, you can always practice at home in front of the mirror, but a good teacher should work with you individually to make sure you get it and are confident with the moves regardless of there being a mirror or not, once you know the "feel" of a move it becomes a lot easier.
In the class I ran there were mirrors however, as it was a fairly small group they worked well so they are great in that circumstance.

I just find it allot easier with a mirror. You get more off a sense of were your body is and how you are moving. I'm not a trained dancer so i find it hard to hold my body correctly unless i can see what i'm doing until I am happy that i have nailed it. Personal preference i guess!

Me neither, I have two left feet! as bellydance is very earthy it just clicked with me, I think learning minus mirror helped me to nail the movements, but if I run a class again I'll defo look for a venue with mirrors.

As you Lucy, I would come to any class you taught! Have you thought of danceworks or dance attic at all? xx
