Flirty in the jacuzzi - Birmingham MOB meet up
Well what a turn out.....
I for one had a fab few hours chatting with my MOB friends admiring their art work whilst I was snap happy with my camera.
It was lovely to see old friends and meet new friends - I cant wait for the actual Dr Sketchy event in November....
Candee - you've planned a stunning event...well done to you and all involved so far.
I have some photos which I will post for all to see asap.
Love to y'all :hug:WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

I was impressed by the turn out. Candee and Dr. Skechy Birmingham managed to attract the heads of 5 other Midlands based Burlesque shows, To me it appears that Dr. Sketchy unites people because the idea is so much fun.
I will definately be at the first Dr. Sketchy and I firmly believe that Angel LaVey will be there too if she isn't working elsewhere.
Congrats Candee.

I had a marvellous time, and it was great to meet lots of new people. I'm sorry if I was very quiet and shy, but I get like that, hopefully next time I'll be very chatty.
Who knew colouring in was such fun!!

It was fanbloomingtastic! What a brilliant turn out! And it was so good to finally meet people I've chatted to online but not met yet.
We were so lucky it didn't absolutely chuck it down.
I had so much fun. I count myself so lucky to have found this new life and to have met so many truly lovely supportive people.
Tara mate, you did so well coming out with us, and you were no more shy than many of the rest of us, or those recovering from night's before or colds - well done you.....I hope this gave you a bit of a lift ready for taking them on back at work. The new bolder brighter Tara
Gehenna's right, it was so lovely to see the 'heads' of other existing Midlands burlesque events.....it felt like a gathering of the burlesque mafia, I felt honoured to be in their presence.....and make it away with my life
And on Al's recommendation afterwards I completed the day's excitement with a trip up and down in the Waterstones lift - wooooooooowwwwwwwwwww - that's fun, especially as I shared my ride with a couple of emo's and they couldn't believe I was just in it for the ride too
Brilliant day - can't wait for the 15th!! (or to see the pics......or everyone's drawing's of the Floozie.....I don't ask for much do I?)The Russian Doll Lass - like Shrek's onion, but with sequins...

I too can't wait to see pictures and drawings etc. I'm very excited about the 15th too, I'll be buying my ticket when my pay comes through.
Al is very wise Tempest, that lift is fantastic fun!!
I do feel slightly better about going back to work after today, I know I can come on here have a good 'ol rant and feel a lot better.
Hurrah.

I had a good time. True I spent most of the time feeling headachey and trying to work out whether I wanted to eat or not, but it was fun being able to chat to new and old frineds in a very relaxed, laid back situation.
Red Rock the night before was a heck of a lot of fun too!

You, you big nana... Or was it in my imagination that you had a very successful Bon Nuit a couple of weeks ago. I know my memory is bad but I doubt he's talking about the times when me and my youngest get fed up playing schools with all her teddies and she gets Mummy to teach the teddies to shimmie... Although the last time did get a very good write up in Bagpuss and Blue Ted's red top...

Really nice meeting everyone yesterday and the freezing weather got rid of my stinking "Red Rocks" hangover although not enough to tempt me to board the deathly Waterstones lift!
