The Pit & Pendulum, one entrance is Pelham Street (opposite the Bodega, where the Pitty Patt is held). Corset quotient is pretty high at night, not so much during daytime. Finding the toilets is much fun!

Can't be as much 'fun' as finding the toilets in a gay-bar in Nottingham I went to with my friend and her male gay pal. The toilets were 'helpfully' labelled 'slags' and 'bitches'!!!! We stood there for ages trying to work out if we were a slag or a bitch (as we sadly didn't know gay code and were too wimpish to ask!!!). I can't remember which we decided upon in the end but needless to say we made the wrong choice and caught lots of men with their trousers down!!! Ordinarily not a bad thing but under the circumstances not the greatest. Our gay male pal was NOT amused with us - ooops!!!!!! Mind you we had a great night out.

I bizarrely quite like the loos at the pit (as much as one can like a pub loo), I am slightly scared that the big spiky dangling chandelier thing by the Victoria St. entrance might fall down though.
On the gay bar theme the loos in @d2 used to take bloody ages to get into being a free-for all thing (dunno if they still are) with the non- performing /working drag queens reapplying a tonne of makeup in there.

Well, it's kinda similar - although they do tend to ruin the fun nowadays ... and that's all I'm saying!
Sometimes they can be fun - but go in at the wrong time and they freak me out no end!
I do wonder what kind of impression people are gaining of this place now ...
That's the Pit! The Pendulum is on the other side and I'd be much more worried if that thing fell ...

Can they be as good as the toilets in the bar of the now defunct national centre for popular music? Someone had the smart idea to put one of those scrolling LED text things above the urinals showing song lyrics. Now as most of you know aim is not high on the average male's talent list - especially in a pub toilet. Ermmmm I'll leave the (rather damp) effects of this added distraction to your sordid imaginations!
