Thread: Who fancies a bit of fun and a meet-up in Birmingham this Saturday morning?

I think it's about time we had a meet-up in Birmingham for Midland MoBers and beyond!

And I think this Saturday is the time to do it!

The lovely Candee of Candee Photography is trying to stir up even more interest for the opening night of Dr Sketchy's Birmingham by getting a load of us along to draw, sketch, crayon Birmingham's Floozie in the Jacuzzi in Victoria Square (between the Town Hall and the Council House at the junction of Colmore Row and New Street).

Meet at the Floozie in the Jacuzzi this Saturday morning (25th October) from 11am-1pm.

So how about doing something a bit different this Saturday morning (I will get shouted at if I dare call this a Splash MoB ) AND then all go somewhere nice for coffee, tea or dinner and a natter?

Bring your sketch pads, pencils, crayons etc and meet us near the Floozie to do some drawing and drum up some further public interest for the first Dr Sketchy's Birmingham on Saturday 15th November 2008.

There will be some prizes for the best 'Burlesque Floozie in the Jacuzzi' drawn on the day.......Warning, this does not mean you should start crafting enormous pasties to stick onto said statue.... you will need to use your creativity people! But here's some rather disturbing inspiration:



How about it? And don't you go giving me the line you can barely draw curtains....it's the taking part, the silliness, the fun....not the artistic quality that counts!!

I'd love to meet up with some of you - it's about time.

damn only just seen this and i was free on sat too!! ah well, will keep my eyes peeled for future meet ups.
