Thread: looking for burlesque nights bedford/MKeynes/Cambridge

Hi. Ive searched google and the Mob events listings without any luck. Im desperately looking for a burlesque night to take my friends to, preferably we can dress up to, which will be easy to get there and back home, so needs to be in the Bedford, Milton Keynes, Cambridge area. Can anyone help? It doesnt matter when it is.

Hmm I'm originaly from MK and my parents still live there. I've never heard of burlesque being run there. If there was it would probably be held at a place called the stables. I think the puppinis played there once?

hmm. I'll see if I can ring them up and find out if theresany events on to go to. I did find Caberet Vulgaris at Cambridge, but it doesnt seem as the burlesque nights Im used to going to or hearing about (think House of Golden Lotus, Newcastle Uni).

Im still to find any burlesque in Milton Keynes poor me. Though I have found online a place called Salon Rouge in Cambridge which looks promising, as most of my friends who I'd be going with are from there. Has anyone heard of it? This is what I found Salon Rouge seems more like a club rather than a show/club mix.

I know that this is an old thread, but just to let you know that we're restarting Salon Rouge on 20th Sept and this time with cabaret. For our opening night we have Miss High Leg Kick , Princess Knickers plus others. There is a post on the events section. We're going to be running monthly. On 19th October we have Empress Stah & Kalki Hula Girl plus more and on 22nd November Miss Behave & friends. Let me know if you need more info.

for a while I was planning on starting a night but I have decided not to move there....try Northampton which is fairly neear by. The Vivid Soda is there plus a few others whose names have escaped me....

Ugh, Bletchley. I'm originally from a village just north of MK, south of Northampton. You might get Pink Punters or somewhere like that to put on a night, but as there isn't even an indie scene there you'd have trouble. Why oh why did Bar Central close?

You'd easily get a night put on somewhere in Cambridge. If anyone is up for starting one just PM me, I need to move my one away from Brighton! Too far for me now.
