I'm bumping this thread up to see if anyone fancies a meet-up in this area? Maternity leave is rather dull and I fancy a bit of glamour and a giggle, anyone up for for a non-alcoholic cocktail and a chat then???

    I'm not there quite yet!

Down Aylesbury way this weekend, to go flat hunting...

MamaJ - if you're anywhere near a computer - I hope things are going well for you.

Good Luck with the hunt, hun. If you need any pointers on where the nicer areas are just let me know...

I'm on house arrest this weekend now as son is due on Monday and I have a bit of a phobia about 'things' happening in public, so any meet-ups after this week will have to involve him too, but as he has a rather fetching red pram I think he will fit into the burlesque scene well lol!

Ah, didn't know when the due date was, thought it was roundabout now. I understand your reticence about going out, I'd be the same! Still - best wishes!

However minor correction on my part - when I wrote 'this weekend', I should have said 'this coming weekend', as in next fri/sat/sun! I must have been having a bit of a 'moment'. However I spent most of yesterday trawling the net and ringing round agents for viewing appointments...

'You want to see it next Friday? that's leaving it a bit of a while...'
    'I'm in Birmingham.'
    'Ah.'

I know this is an old, ollld thread, but I am quite excited by this as someone who lives in Leighton Buzzard!

Next Friday 12th at the Buszy in Milton Keynes (where the old bus station/Chicago Rock Cafe/Shout used to be) they are showing the film 'Burlesque Undressed' as well as having some live acts performing . Tickets are only £4, and it's a pound a pint/glass of wine! Madness.

Stands to be a good night! Also in terms of stuff to do in MK, there is also Dollar Shake every first Friday of the month (tonight!) at The Slug and Lettuce. Tonight's theme is Vegas!

Very exciting news Indeed! I can't make this one as I'm going to be at Shimmy Shebang in Hemmel Hempstead on the Sunday, and can't normally go out twice in one month, nevermind twice in one weekend lol!

Do they have a web site or facebook page, as it'd be great to find out if they have something like this happening again?

Have a great time at dollarshake! XXX

    feee-a-tar (theatre) district. lol

Bletchley park would be a great place to have a one off event. It could be called "Oh, what a lovely Pwoar". Ah thank you!

so who is in the Milton Keynes area? I have just bought a house and waiting to for it to be finished so I can move in. Buying off plan is annoying but means I get a spanky new house.
