Me too, there are loads of alternative models and photograhers on Model Mayhem its not just high fashion. I did a shoot not long ago where the photographer wanted me to look like a "normal" girl, no big hair, no red lippy, no black eyeliner. I felt so uncomfortable it was a crappy shoot. But i learnt a lesson from it.

No they don't have to be proffessional, just put a good head a shoulder shot and full body. Try and make it look descent not holiday pics anything like that. You can say on your profile that your amatuer and that you will do time for prints. That way you will get a free port and photographers get to expand theirs. Its a really good site for that kind of thing
