Hello from another Brisbanite!!

Here are your options for Brisbane burlesque education:
1. Scoundrelles. I recommend them wholeheartedly and not just because I trained with them. They are AWESOME. They have already started terms, but you could email them and ask if there's still space. They also do poledancing if that's your thing. They have classes in the Fringe Bar (Valley) and Bodywise (New Farm I think).

2. Mad Dance in the CBD (Elizabeth St) has burlesque classes taught by Lena Marlene, who runs the Scoundrelles and has been doing burlesque for about 10 years or so. So you do get a real expert!

3. Lola the Vamp teaches burlesque at B Confidential, a gentlemen's club at Upper Edward St. I'm not too sure if they're open to the public or not but it's worth asking.

4. Miss BeBe le Buff is about to start a new term burlesque classes on the 21st, both for beginners and for those with some experience. They're based in Red Hill, pretty close to the city.

5. Forgot one!! World Fusion Dance mainly does bellydance and stuff like that but they also have a couple of burlesque teachers on board. They are in West End.

If you'd like more info on what's going on in Brisbane burlesque, get in touch - my PMs here aren't really working so great (damn white screen) but you can reach me at The Merch Girl
The Gold Coast doesn't really have much comparatively though there may be some workshops as part of bigger events. There are people trying to work something out though, and we do have Gold Coast people coming to Scoundrelles classes .
Talk to you soon and feel free to ask anything!!

Thank you
Thank you so much for that info. Much appreciated.
I saw the website for Scoundrelles, they look good!
Your too right about the Gold Coast I have found nothing, mostly just pole dancing which im not that interested in. But i suppose that's the only entertainment you get on the glitter strip . lol.
Thanks again for your info and I will take up your offer for more questions down the track.

No worries

You actually inspired me to start a guide to Brissy burlesque - you weren't the first to ask after all! Hope this is helpful, it's just a start but it'll grow:
