Anyone heard of it Sunshine Studios
I found this website
Classes/Courses
offering burlesque classes in Manchester I was wondering if anyones ever heard of them or the woman who runs it, or even if they're on here maybe? I'd prefer to give something a go that's MOB approved really.WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

Hi hun,
I've seen the Gilitter Kittens a couple of times, they're quite dance /rock/modern influenced rather than traditonal burlesque . Zelda's been running these classes for a couple of years as far as I know but I've never been to one or know anyone who has so I coluldn't comment on what they were like! They're certainly a well established troupe though and are good at what they do... hope this helps?

Not overly keen on sunshine studios.
Last year they had a burlesque "teacher" doing classes
And i phoned up to enquire. Couldn't tell me their dance quolifications
If they were a registered teacher, if they were insured,
and didn't know what experience they had in burlesque .
So
Put it this way, If i had a daughter not a chance in hell would she be allowed to do classes there. If they can't produce simple details for an adult class one hopes they atleast have relevant crb checks in place.
I don't know zeldas quolifications.
But gypsy and vida have extensive dance training with registered boards as well as a gig performance portfolio.

thanks heather, I had a feeling this would be the general idea, and to be honest, I'm not going anywhere that may be a bit dodgy, especially as I work with a big childcare company, god knows what kind of kick off there could be, they're like vultures for anything that appears to be misconduct.
I need to get my arse in gear and get out and about in Manchester a bit more really, is there anything happening any time soon?
