Thread: Debut Burlesque Performance!

Whoop Im finally making my burlesque debut in Nottingham on the 25th may-so excited!!!
Im starting with a balloon popping act, I want however to have my twinkly sequin and bead clad bikini top float away when i take it off...
I have weighed it and the top it 157 grams...im a little unsure about how many helium filled balloons i will need!! Most likely a lot!!
Anyone with any experience in floaty bras?

Congrats on your debut

The floating bra sounds like a marvelous idea, that'll look awesome!

You could always take the bra with you to wherever you're getting the balloons filled and test it out? Give 'em something to talk about! xxx

Miss Diamond Blush does this in her balloon pop act.

Depends on the size of the balloons But a rough guide I believe it's 1 Gram per litre

i do that as well ...be careful of the height of the venue as i lost a bra once- i also get rid of my tie side pants the same way to reveals a sparkly thong...

afraid it was in a nightclub that was hired for the event- apparently my bra stayed up there for a few days after- never asked for it back

Yep Im in a club with apparently quite high ceilings but im sure it will be fine.

This may sound a bit far fetched, but what about tying a weighted ribbon or thread to it? You could have a very long piece if ribbon tied to the bra and the weight on you or on the floor, then once the routine is over you just have to pull the bra down from the ceiling.
