i say totally go for it! i did a few workshops at uni with a local improv comedy group and did a few sets at the hyena cafe here in newcastle. it was incredibly nerve wracking but being small and vaguely cute did give me a lot of leeway ha!
i would LOVE to go back to it, i've started compering which is very interesting and i've been taking the anecdotal approach to that one.
i'm sure you'll be ace, you know how to use your voice on stage and you are physically free too so i'm really interested to hear the end result!
aha mainly private and corporate gigs, got one coming up next week too. Mainly stay in my jar during the acts, then pop out and introduce sitting or standing on it.
when we used to busk acrobatics, edd and I used to do a lot of banter style 'heckling' with the audience which was terrifying but fun!
maybe one day i'll get the balls to compere at a burlesque event
