Jessica - If you can't afford a video camera and filming on your mobile isn't possible (though even some digital cameras have a video function) then even practising with a large mirror can do the trick. Only poopy thing is you can't see yourself when you turn to face the back. BUT it's better than nothing!

Oh! and if you move to Brighton, if you like you could let me know as I've been talking to a few girls about sharing the cost of renting a practise hall every now and then. Just PM me if you'd be interested in joining in. I'm searching for a place with enough space, decent mirrors and not too expensive p/hr as we're all low on cash!

Belle - I shall hopefully be moving at the end of August or beginning of September so I will def get in touch with you about that. I would love to be in some sort of troupe but never had made like minded friends who are willing to do it. Once I get down I will be pretty broke too so cheap will have to be the way forward. if we ever get finished with are DIY in this place and it sells I will be moving to Brighton to so will happily join you in the rehearsal space. My problem is I need more time I have an event on Friday were I am showing my new act but and still making the costume so not really sure if it all works as a routine yet. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

I completely agree with beatrix and diva.

I have started to film myself and you can see what looks good and what doesn't.

Even if you use a camera which is low quality you can still see what your perfromance looks like.

I would advise anyone to invest in video camera.

Sure thing. We're not a troupe, just like minded individuals and having a few people to share the cost with makes it cheaper! which is always a bonus.
