Hi hun,
i make all my own pasties (and i use the same technique only bigger to make simple fascinators to match!). I make mine with buckram as it's reasonably priced and really easy to work with. I glue the fabric on before i cut them out then i add detail after i have constructed them.
Buckram seems to like basic double sided tape and it holds real good but it also peels off quite easy after you have finished with them .
Hope this helps

those are so pretty!
can i just ask what fascinators are? People are always going on about this word and im sure i must know what you mean but by a different word...heehee
Mine never really came about cause i dont really like the guy that was making them anymore. I kind of realised he was more of a perve than a friend so i got rid of him...so to speak.

Hey sweetie. Fascinators are small hats and hair sides. They are really cute and easy enough to make.

fascinators, arent they those cute little hats?
my pasties continue to come out crappy. I tried to use that colored craft foam, but it still wont stick to my nipple. What am I doing wrong?

Like a lot of the other girlies on here, I use buccram for my base; it's reasonably stiff but easy to shape. I also use leatherette for the backing, and it does seem to hold tit-tape quite well. I've seen the foam-based ones before and I'm not so keen on them myself. So, maybe try using different materials?

Oh my goodness, I never thought of this... It can be mighty painful with dressing tape (double sided skin to fabric tape) when it gets stuck to the steel. They might be more secure with a couple of elastic loops. (I wear horizontal barbells.) This might work better for some heavier twirlers that I wear with craps dice on the ends. (I'm always worried something will fly off and crack someone in the head!)
I still think baby bottle rubber nipple pasties are both the funniest and the creepiest.:-?

I am trying to figure out what to use for waterproof pasties. Buckram obviously does not work. I was told vinyl. I wonder what Dita uses for her waterproof pasties.

Agent Provocateur do little sets of stickers, are they any good? It's only £3 for about twenty pairs, but it's a waste of £3 if they don't hold anything in place! Anyone tried?

What is "tit-tape"? I have used double sides "fashion tape" otherwise known as "lingerie tape" but this comes in tiny little strips and hardly seems like it would hold a pasty on all night thorough out a sweaty performance. I guess what I really want to know is what kind of adhesive you all use? My nippies are quite sensitive and I'm afraid to use regular double sided tape not intended for the body... Has anyone ever used medical grade glue like what we use to glue our eyelashes on?
