Does anyone know if the BW workshops are good. There is one coming to dublin but it's a lil pricey and I am not sure I want to sign up for it unless I know I will get my monies worth.

There was an artical in mob magazine recently that you should read. ( sorry i can't find the link im not a computer girl , but it's very recent ) discussing this topic.

I very much side with blush in that you should go with someone acredited within the burly community.
burly lessons are springing up in dance schools and in the back of womens magazines but these classes may only do what the teacher deembes to be "erotic dance" one womans class is another womans trash.

Whomever you go to don't just look at pricing look at content.
And look at the tutors profile and body of work.
kittie for example has been burlying for many many years
( want to know how many snoop the site )has classical training,
and has performed internationaly. so you get what you pay for.

Unfortunately the MoB don't run classes in Ireland. As soon as they do I will sign up. The people involved in the BWI class are Venuss Envy & Ruby Rose. However I don't know much about them, or the Burlesque women's institute and was hoping someone on here may have done a course with them.. It does seem very intensive so the price may be worth it. but I do want to know if they are good before I part with the cash. if you know what I mean.

The burlesque womens Institute are a very good organisation. I don't know much about Venus, apart from her being an established performer. I do know Ruby Rose and she is a sweet lady. Her knowledge about vintage hair and make up is astounding.

Just look at the members of the BWI and you will see that many are respected figures within the burlesque community.

If you can't afford their prices, why not enter into PeepToe magazines competition to win a free course?

Thanks.. I think I will go ahead with the course. I was just worried that it may not have been worth it as I knew nothing about them.

It has been on the cards for some time - we announced Ireland some time ago along with our other many UK centres too. However, until we have details and dates confirmed we won't be advertising the class.

This means that you could find three other friends to share your lesson and if pay only only £71 each. If you take your lesson in a group with ten people, then you are paying less than £32 per lesson.

If you own your own website, then you can even make money by selling our workshops directly from your pages. We pay 7.5% of all sales - ie, if you refer someone from your website who then purchases a £319 workshop package, then you would earn about £24 from the sale. The sales commission rises to 15% for more active affiliates and this could earn you £48 from the same sale.
