Burlesque classes Leeds

There is a burlesque class starting in leeds on thursday night at The Subculture club in the merrion centre 7.30
Not sure who is teaching it, I just found out about it when I was doing a stall at a craft fair on sunday and the girl who has organised it stopped to talk to me about the lingerie I was selling

So pleased to find there is somewhere to go in Leeds for Burlesque!

Friday 29th June 8 til late £6 advance/£8 door but that was it, I couldn't find anything about any classes but might not be advertised on the site yet? Let me know if you find anything! xxxx

they just sent basic details round in a myspace bulletin saying it starts at 7.30 and is on for 4 weeks. if I get any more info I'll let you know

I didn't manage to get down in the end as a meeting over ran and have now lost the bulletin post with the contact details for the organiser so don't know how it went or if it will continue grr

As far as I am aware this burlesque class has something to do with 'Rock and Pole' which is also starting at The Subculture. I actually work for them so can find out exactally what the deal is!

Burlesque has actually been happening in Leeds for coming up to two years, there is a regular night called The Ruby Revue which is my brain child and other nights such as Linus Twizzle's avant garden party.

it was only on for 4 weeks so don't know if it's over now as didn't get down to any of them and keep forgetting to ask the club owner who's a pal

there is now a regular clothing and jewelry market at subculture the 3rd saturday of every month 2-6pm all items made by the people selling them, including myself, and folks like Cookie selling her pasties etc
