In my experience, at local dance-type places, there is always someone worse than you!

Its got nothing to do with burlesque, but when i was at uni, me and one of my housemates joined the gym. She was a little stunner, really petite with the most enviable figure and face, and i just felt like a big heffing klutz next to her. but when we went to an aerobics class, i couldnt believe how unco-ordinated she was! it was the first time in my life i actually felt dainty!

So, two things: 1) you wont be the worst, even if people look like they are better able to do it than you. and 2) no-one will be paying attention to what your doing anyway, as they are concentrating too hard on making their own limbs behave in the right way!!

Porcelaindolly, you dont look overweight, and you look supersexy in your corset!

If all burly performers turned round at the start and said "I cant do this, i'm overweight, people will laugh at me" then we wouldnt have nearly as many performers out there!

I dont think there is a better way to celebrate our curves than by giving Burlesque a go!

I just wish i'd tried it when I was younger, it looks so much fun! I hate getting older, it feels like you become more invisible every day.. Anyway, you only live once and i'm definately going to book for that class.

Age shouldn't make you feel invisible,you can be a beautiful sexy woman whatever your age or size, it's timeless, you can be sexy up until the day you die! Good for you for wanting to book the class, go for it! and you're right, we all only live once so we might aswell live fabulously!
