I'm fairly new to this, however I have been insterested in burlesque for the longest time now.
I live in Portugal, which, being an almost-third world country, offers no possibility to do a burlesque workshop. AT ALL (unless it's in one of the bigger cities, and I live far away. damn).

I'd like to know, even though I can't attend any workshops, is there any way /prefereably free as I'm broke xD) to learn the basics, i.e. good reads, videos, whatever?

Alsoo, I was hoping that once I get into burlesque as a hobby I could maybe get into it on a pro level? How hard is this? Especially to get into a foreign scene? Any advice?

I'd like to suggest Jo Boob's School of Burlesque, which is where I first started taking classes and workshops.
Her website is full of lots of great info. to review as well.

If you want to learn burlesque and you're based in the USA then you can't do better than the Boobs-Meister, she also has a book out too!
